The following holidays are observed by the City of Longmont, however, not all facilities and services are impacted.

Labor Day Holiday Information
Longmont city government observes the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 2. Most City facilities will be closed. See below for specific hours, etc. for City buildings. Emergency services, parks, outside recreation areas, etc. will be open.
Trash Collection Services
Monday’s waste collection services will be picked up one day LATER than normally scheduled this week. Please have containers out before 7 am. Residents can see the collection schedule and sign up for collection reminders.
Holiday Hours for Specific City Facilities
The Civic Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.

The Development Services Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
This includes all Planning, Building Services, Code Enforcement, PWNR Engineering and Parking Enforcement services.
The Longmont Museum will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Plan Your Visit >
The Museum will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
The Library will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
The Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
The Longmont Recycling Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
The Longmont Service Center at 1100 S. Sherman St. will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
- For outages and other urgent electric matters, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386. The lines are monitored 24 hours a day so that LPC crews can respond as quickly as possible.
- NextLight technical support can be reached from 8 am to 5 pm by calling 303-774-4494. As always, the network team will keep an eye on after-hours phone messages and network conditions, so that urgent situations can be addressed.
Emails and Facebook messages will not be seen until the offices re-open on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Public Safety Administration offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.

St. Vrain Memorial Building

Centennial Pool
- Closed Aug. 31-Sept. 2
Recreation Center
- Closed Aug. 25-Sept. 1 for maintenance; open 10 am-4 pm on Sept. 2 (pool closes at 3:30 pm)
Activity Pools are closed for the season.
Sunset Pool
- Open 7am – 6 pm on Saturday, Aug. 31
- Open 10 am – 6 pm on Sunday, Sept. 1
Union Reservoir
- Union Reservoir swim beach – last day of operation for the season – open 10 am – 5 pm on Monday, Sept. 2 (subject to change)
- Union Reservoir park hours:
Through Aug. 31, 6 am – 9 pm
Sept. 1 – Oct. 31, 6 am – 8 pm
The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
The airport will remain open; however, the Administration building will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
The Longmont Youth Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
