Longmont Airshow & Expo Returns September 14

After a six-year absence, the Longmont Airshow & Expo returns to Longmont’s Vance Brand Municipal Airport (KLMO) on Saturday, Sept 14. Admission to this family-friendly event is free. There will be limited free parking available on the airfield and attendees are encouraged to bicycle to the event and take advantage of a secure bicycle parking area.

The Expo will be open from 7 am to 5 pm and feature an early-morning pancake breakfast, historic and military aircraft displays, interactive educational booths, and hands-on demonstrations provided by St Vrain Valley School District’s Innovation Center, Metropolitan State College, local flight schools, and Longmont’s Air Traffic Control team.

The airshow will run from 11 am to 1 pm, beginning with a car parade and skydivers. The show will also include flyovers from a variety of aircraft and performance teams and a fly-in featuring classic and antique airplanes.

There will be many food trucks dishing up a variety of food and drinks throughout the day. A beer garden will be open from 11 am – 4 pm and live music will be playing from 1:30 – 4:30 pm.
