Work on the Fox Meadows Neighborhood Park will begin with mowing on Thursday, June 13. Construction fencing, utility work and other construction will follow, with overall site construction beginning on Monday, June 24. The fenced in area of the site will be closed to the public during construction.

The park location is south of Ninth Avenue in east central Longmont, west of Weld County Road #1. This area is in one of the oldest areas of town not currently served by a neighborhood park. The adjacent parcel to the east is owned by the St. Vrain Valley School District for the development of a future elementary school.

In addition to turf and native seed areas, the park will feature paved and unpaved trails, a nature-themed playground, picnic shelters, a restroom, ½ basketball court, bocce grove, chess tables and an open turf area.
