Electric Outage FAQ

 

If the lights go out, please report it by either:

 

  • Calling the outage line at (303) 776-0011
  • Calling the main LPC number at (303) 651-8386

Please note that LPC’s email account is for non-emergency messages only. Any emails sent after 5 p.m. may not be seen until the next business day.

 

Streetlight or pedestal light burned out or damaged

 

Power line damaged

  • Call LPC at (303) 651-8386 during regular business hours

 

Damaged Electrical Equipment Attached to a Home

  • If electrical equipment attached to a home has been damaged, it may be the owner’s responsibility to have it repaired. If residents have questions, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303.651.8386. The equipment will be inspected and a door hanger will be provided outlining the next steps required.

 

  • Homeowners are responsible for maintaining and/or repairing: meter box/housing, weatherhead/stack, and main panel as illustrated below. All repairs should be made by a certified electrician.

NextLightâ„¢Internet Service

  • Call the main LPC number at (303) 774-4494 and choose the options for NextLight technical support. Technical support hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Messages may be left after hours, and the network is monitored 24/7 for critical issues.
  • Emails or Facebook messages sent after 5 p.m. may not be seen until the next business day.
