- The City of Boulder Housing Rehabilitation Program WAITLIST STATUS: Due to high demand, this program is operating on a waitlist, which is administered by Longmont; homeowners will work with the City of Longmont throughout the process.

Financial Assistance
Even if a home is in good shape, a homeowner may still need help to stay in it. Some assistance programs include:Â
- Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) Loan Servicing, which has help and information for existing CHFA mortgage holders.
- Emergency Mortgage Assistance from Colorado Department of Local Affairs, which uses federal funds to help homeowners who are behind on mortgage, insurance, utility, or other housing-related payments.
- Boulder County Financial Assistance, which includes Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and income-qualified health and childcare assistance.
- Agencies that can help Boulder County residents with their Utility Payments, as well as the Longmont CAReS utility rebate. Â

Fair Housing laws promote equal access to homeownership and rental housing opportunities
Fair Housing laws are fundamental to the values of our community. By protecting against housing discrimination, fair housing makes Longmont a stronger community and a better place to live, work, and play.
Under federal law, it is illegal to discriminate against any person under the protected classes: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. Colorado State law adds the categories of marital status, creed, ancestry, and source of income.
Housing discrimination is illegal. Both state and federal laws prohibit discrimination in housing based on protected classes. Also, it is illegal for anyone to threaten, coerce, intimidate, or interfere with anyone exercising a fair housing right or assisting others who exercise that right.
